Simply amazing, flowless, hopeful, poetic...
And I love the major chord played by the piano at 4:20.

FINALLY, someone with ears!!!! Thank you unethicaldenier!

he´s a good singer, but i simply don´t like his singing.(it has nothing to do with his handycap) i know it´s a matter of taste but fischer-dieskau (i absolutely adore him!) is simply one of the best baritones of all time and quasthoff will never come close to fischer-dieskau, because (face it!) he will never reach his level.

Tra lui e Fischer-Dieskau è una bella lotta.

echt sehr schön wenn man sich drauf einlässt.

cant u stop talking bulls... ? Quasthoff isn't an opera singer, he's a Jazzsinger and Lied- and Oratoriensinger.

I heard him in Holland, I agree with you.

As for me, we could as well stop comparing him with Fischer-Diskau, because I think Thomas is even better. But okay, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Does anyone have his Der Erlking?
Kendoka05 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
there is no way you can say he is famous only for his handicap - his voice on its own is magnificent. Therefore, dear Mr. Picapin just open another tab/window or close your eyes and listen. His interpretation is great - though, i must admit, i, too, prefer Fischer-Dieskau's interpretations - personal POV |
