Throw Clinton into that group!!!!! I never heard a word from any Democrat talk about that. When Cheney was the Defense Secretary, he had to be approved by Congress and at the time it was led by the Democrats.

Because they spent every penny of it!! No, the Republicans have NOT controlled the Congress for TWO YEARS now. And the Democrats could have shut off funding for the war - since they did promise to end it if we gave them Congress in 2006. The CURRENT deficit falls squarely on the Dems. That does not absolve the Republicans of blame for their own financial mismanagement of 2001-2006 as Ventura points out.
