That's why Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection were necessary to save the world. We celebrate the first of these events at Christmas. Sometimes we just need to accept God's love for us despite all of our individual and collective failings . . . and also accept the beauty of His creation (including this wonderful choir singing "Silent Night"), which reflects that love. Wow, learning Mandarin must be difficult. I'm learning German, and I love it. I wouldn't mind trying to learn several other Germanic languages as well, but I'm worried that my brain would start getting some of the cognates mixed up, lol.

This is the Thomanerchor from Leipzig in Saxony, where J.S. Bach has been cantor for more than 30 years. The recording was made in the late 90s. The conductor is Georg Christoph Biller the current cantor of St. Thomas.
